Energy Transfer Partners has placed Phase 1B of its Rover Pipeline project in service (access the original project announcement here). The final phase of the pipeline is expected to be in service by the end of the first quarter of 2018.

This brings the 713-mile pipeline closer to its 3.25 billion cubic feet per day design total.

When in full service, Rover will transport natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica Shale production areas to markets across the United States as well as into the Union Gas Dawn Storage Hub in Ontario, Canada.
