Offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico as well as onshore rigs across the Gulf Coast have called for evacuations as Tropical Storm Cindy barrels toward the Texas and Louisiana coastlines.
Refineries and shipping terminals have also ceased operations ahead of the storm's landfall, which will occur early Thursday morning. The Houston Ship Channel and Louisiana Offshore Oil Port have already suspended operations ahead of the storm, disrupting oil exports across the board.
A tropical storm warning is currently in effect for multiple regions, from San Luis Pass, Texas to the Alabama/Florida border.
