Lavaca Bay LNG project

"The Lavaca Bay LNG project is a floating LNG export facility. This $2.5 billion project—sited along the coast south of Point Comfort—will create jobs, inject billions of dollars into the U.S. economy, and open new markets worldwide for Texas-produced natural gas. Scheduled for completion in early 2019, this innovative LNG export facility will connect to existing natural gas pipelines in the region, supercool and condense gas into a liquid form for third-party owners of natural gas, and transfer the LNG to ships that will transport natural gas to global markets.
