Navigator Energy Services Appoints General Counsel
Navigator Energy Services, LLC announced the addition of Kevin Strehlow to its senior leadership team as general counsel. Kevin brings a unique combination of legal and financial experience to the company, having served as in-house counsel for a midstream company, an attorney with a large law firm, a financial analyst and business journalist.
John O’Shea, Navigator’s chief executive officer, said: "We are pleased to have an attorney with Kevin's broad experience join our senior management team. As we expand our business, it is vital that we choose accomplished energy veterans to join our mission to become the leading crude oil gathering and transportation provider across all shale plays. Kevin’s industry expertise and results-oriented focus gives us the ability to continue to rapidly grow Navigator."
Matt Vining, Navigator’s chief commercial officer, said: "Having worked with Kevin on prior transactions, I have first-hand appreciation for his unique ability to understand the market and to resolve problems in a commercial manner. He has a proven track record serving as the legal lead on numerous large-scale midstream projects in the Permian Basin and beyond. His reputation and experience working on commercial and strategic transactions will be valuable to us as we continue to expand and strengthen our platform of services."
Prior to joining Navigator this month, Strehlow served for nearly five years as chief counsel for Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P., where he served as the lead legal counsel for eight pipeline open seasons covering thousands of miles of new and repurposed pipeline systems serving the Gulf Coast. During his tenure with Sunoco, Strehlow represented Sunoco’s pipeline, terminaling and marketing businesses in a wide variety of commercial transactions, including numerous terminaling services agreements and other project development transactions surrounding Sunoco’s 25 million-barrel Nederland, Texas, crude petroleum terminal. Strehlow also served as Sunoco’s legal lead in the formation of multiple joint ventures, including SunVit Pipeline LLC and Bayou Bridge Pipeline, LLC.
Prior to Sunoco, Strehlow was an associate with the Houston office of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, where he did work in the energy, finance and real estate markets. Strehlow also spent time as a market analyst reporter with Argus Media and as a financial analyst with Scottsdale, Arizona-based Troon Golf.
Strehlow received his Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Vanderbilt University.
