Rig Count: Canada Rigs Jump by +17; U.S. Gains +1
This week, rig counts continued their upward trend in North America.
U.S. rig counts posted a slight gain of +1, while Canada's rig count jumped by +17. In June 2016, the International market lost -28 rigs.
This week, horizontal rigs saw a loss of -3, ending at 354 while vertical rig counts stayed stagnant at 0, ending at 61. Oil Rigs gained +3 while gas rigs lost -2.
For the U.S., the total year-over-year (YOY) rig count drop is now at -411. The current active rig count in the U.S. is 463.
Canada's rig count has fallen by -96 rigs YOY with 119 rigs currently active.
On the International front, rig counts fell by -28 in June of 2016, with 927 rigs currently active (a loss of -219 YOY).
