Rig Count / Drilling Activity Week Ending - April 13, 2018
This week drilling activity/rig count based on Shale Experts rigs database shows that +4 rigs were added. What is very noticable is that the SCOOP/STACK is now the second busiest basin/play in the lower 48.
The SCOOP/STACK added +4 new rigs this week to close at 110 rigs, second only to the Permian with 448 rigs. In the SCOOP/STACK, 20 rigs have been added year-to-date which represents 1/5 of the total wells active in the basin.
The Haynesville also added +3 rigs to end the week at 63 active rigs.

Continent Resources is currently operating 13% of the rigs in the basin
Devon Energy and Newfield Exploration both operating 9% of the rigs each.
