SandRidge's CEO James Bennett and CFO Julian Bott are departing the company in the wake of a chaotic few months which saw the break up of the SandRidge-Bonanza Creek merger deal.
Bill Griffin, who currently serves as an independent director, has agreed to serve as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer while the Company conducts a full review of internal and external candidates.
John V. Genova, Chairman of the Board, stated, "Over the past five years as Chief Executive Officer, James Bennett guided the Company through a challenging period of financial distress. However, as the Company moves forward in a new strategic direction, the Board has determined that the time has come to transition to new leadership. The Board thanks James for his service to the Company."
