AWE's Waitsia Stage 2 Unaffected by Australia's Frac Moratorium
AWE Limited and Origin Energy have reported that Waitsia Stage 2 development will not be affected by the Australian government's fracking moratorium.
The planned Waitsia Stage 2 development will also produce gas from the conventional reservoirs in the Kingia Formation and High Cliff Sandstones. No fracking is required for Waitsia Stage 2. AWE’s exploration plans do not include fracking and therefore AWE does not expect to be impacted by the moratorium on fracking in Western Australia.
