Rig Count By Operator : Week Ending | Jan-29-2021

First lets look at rig count by the main basins.   Not many changes here.  We say the Permian up +3, Marcellus down -3.  There were the most notable changes.  However lets look at YTD, Permian has added +19 rigs, the Eagle ford +4.

Rig Count by Operator:

First, lets look at rig count by operator, YTD.  Who are the operators that have been driving the rig count higher over the past 4 weeks.   As you can see from the data (most be a subscriber to see all companies), Devon, EOG and PDC have been growing their rig count steadily.  This is not surprising considering that these operators cut back heavily last year and also we are in the 2021 budget.   You can click on the map table below to get the full list (must be a subscriber to see).
