Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser announced a new international shale venture for the company, according to a report by Reuters.
The Jafurah shale gas field project will be geared at boosting gas supply, which will be used to fuel its power generation plants in place of oil.
The project is expected to cost approximately $110 billion.
