Williams Co. Scraps Marcellus Gas Pipeline; Constitution Pipeline Project
Williams announced that it has cancelled its Constitution Pipeline Project, the proposed 650 dth/day that was scheduled to transport natural gas from Pennsylvania to New York.
The company also said "While Constitution did receive positive outcomes in recent court proceedings and permit applications, the underlying risk adjusted return for this greenfield pipeline project has diminished in such a way that further development is no longer supported".
Williams partners in the project involved Duke Energy, AltaGas and Cabot Oil & Gas.
