Weekly Rig Count: Permian, Haynesville See Growth; Rigs by Operator

In our weekly Rig count update.  Here are our observations.  Rig Count across the major basins are up +6 rigs.  Today we are going to take a deeper look at the Haynesville.

We also notice that the Haynesville rig count is growing again.

What is driving this late growth?  We decided to overlay gas price.

Haynesville rigs to grow as NYMEX Henry Hub price improves.   See the chart below.

 

This growth is being led by ExxonMobil who has grown its rig count by +5 YTD.   The company is currently operating 8 rigs the most in the play of its peer.
