Argent Energy Holdings Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Argent Energy Trust, completed the acquisition of producing petroleum properties, including in the Newton, Livingston and Double AA Wells North fields in East Texas, from Wapiti Energy, LLC, and Wapiti Oil & Gas, L.L.C., both oil and gas companies, for a purchase consideration of $114m, after closing adjustments. The transaction has an effective date of October 1, 2012.
