CONSOL Energy Inc,  the leading diversified fuel producer in the Eastern U.S., sold non-producing western Canadian coal assets in the closing days of 2012 for $127 million in two separate transactions.

In the first transaction, CONSOL Energy partnered with Forbes & Manhattan Inc.
