Diamondback Energy Inc. has entered into two definitive agreements with unrelated third party sellers to purchase an aggregate of approximately 13,900 gross (11,150 net) operated acres in the Midland Basin for an aggregate of approximately $165 million, subject to certain adjustments.
The proposed transactions, which are expected to close by the end of September 2013, will increase the Company's leasehold interest in the Midland Basin to over 65,000 net acres.
