Harbour Energy plc (LSE: HBR) announced a definitive agreement to acquire LLOG Exploration Company LLC from LLOG Holdings LLC — a family-owned business controlled by the estate of founder Gerald Boelte — for total consideration of $3.2 billion, comprising $2.7 billion in cash and approximately $0.5 billion of Harbour voting ordinary shares (174,855,744 new shares). The acquisition establishes the U.S. Gulf of America as a fourth core business unit for Harbour alongside its existing operations in Norway, the United Kingdom, Argentina, and Mexico.
