WPX Energy has agreed to sell its San Juan Basin Gallup oil assets for $700 million to Enduring Resources IV, LLC.
This deal closed on March 29, 2018.
The transaction completes WPX's exit from the San Juan Basin, and the company will now focus on its two remaining core positions in the Delaware (Permian) and Williston basins.
Gallup oil production averaged 10.8 Mbbl/d in third-quarter 2017.
While no acreage was provided in the deal, WPX's investor presentation noted that the assets include 226,000 net acres and 3,900 gross locations.
