Encap backed-PennEnergy Resources has made a bid of $600.5 million for Rex Energy assets in Appalachian region. As you can see from the map below, the acreage is contigious and would be a bolt on for PennEnergy allowing the company to drill longer laterals.
The assets are producing some 250 MMcf/d as of May 30, 2018 according to Shale Experts Production Database sourced from Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Back in May 2018, the company filed for bankruptcy and announced it plans to liquidate its entire asset portfolio.
