Azerbaijan and Vietnam signed an agreement on Friday to jointly develop onshore oil fields in Azerbaijan.
According to a news release posted on Azerbaijan's state oil company Socar's website, Socar and Vietnamese state-owned energy Company PetroVietnam reached an agreement on the rehabilitation, exploration, extraction and production sharing of an Azeri onshore oil block.
The document was signed by Socar's First Vice President Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh and Deputy President of PetroVietnam Nguyen Vu Truong Son.
