In the long awaited decision, BP America Production Company has annouced it is acquiring the Eagle Ford, Delaware Permian and Haynesville asset from BHP for $10.5 billion in cash.
This deal closed on October 31, 2018.
As a reminder, BP is already active in the Eagle Ford, where it is developing the western Eagle Ford through a JV with Lewis Energy. From the map below, you can see that the Hawkville field is adjacent to where BP and Lewis is curently developing the Play.
