Cabot has agreed to sell off its entire Eagle Ford portfolio to an affiliate of EnCap-backed Venado Oil & Gas for $765 million.
This deal closed on March 19, 2018.
Earlier this year, Venado bought Eagle Ford assets from SM Energy for $800 million. Additionally, the company was going to purchase property in the Eagle Ford from Exco, but the deal was cancelled due to well shut-ins associated with an ongoing lawsuit between Exco and Chesapeake.
