ExxonMobil's XTO executed a trade with Linn Energy.
ExxonMobil, on the other hand, will get about 25,000 acres in the Midland Basin, based around Midland, Martin, Upton and Glasscock counties, as well as about 1,000 acres in Lea County, New Mexico.
Linn Energy will get 500,000 net acres in the Hugoton Field and about 2,300 operated wells, as well as a potential 400 future wells. The production gained will be about 85 million cubic feet of natural gas a day.
