Ovintiv Inc. has agreed to sell its Eagle Ford assets to Validus Energy (a portfolio company of Pontem Energy Capital) for $880 million.
This deal closed on May 19, 2021.
This comes nearly two weeks after reports surfaced hinting that Ovintiv was close to nearing a sale of the assets to Pontem.
The deal is expected to close in 2Q 2021.
