Roan Resources Inc. has signed a deal to be acquired by Citizen Energy III, an affiliate of Warburg Pincus LLC, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.0 billion.
The transaction value includes Roan’s funded net debt of approximately $780 million as of September 30, 2019.
Roan Resources was initially formed in mid-2017 via a partnership between Linn Energy and Citizen Energy II.
Roan has been taking a look at potential buyout offers since May 2019 - when it hired Jefferies to help advise in a potential sale.
