Pure Acquisition Corp a SPAC (blank check company formed in 2017) said it is acquiring Howard County focused HighPeak Energy Partners in a deal worth $845 million.
This deal comes after the initial deal to include Grenadier Energy Partners II LLC a Encap/Kayne Anderson-backed E&P fell apart.
The new entity will be called HighPeak Energy and will trade under the symbol HPK on the NASDAQ. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2020.
The deal closed on August 24, 2020.
