Noble Energy provided the following update during its third quarter 2016 update. Shale Experts was able to verify that Noble sold the acreage to a new Private Equity (Encap Investments) backed company Verdun Oil Company LLC.
The company noted that it had closed on the sale of approximately 11,000 non-core gross acres in the Eagle Ford for $68 million at the end of the quarter, or 1,900 net acres
The acreage sold included small positions in La Salle, Atascosa, Live Oak and Dimmit counties where we had not engaged in drilling activity since the merger with Rosetta Resources Inc.
