A Look at Shell's $4.5B North American Onshore D&C Activity 2016 & 2017

Royal Dutch Shell's recent 2016 Capital Markets Day presentation gave us a look inside the company's development plan and results for its North American Shale program. 

The company is currently focused on the Delaware Basin Wolfcamp and Marcellus in the US, the Montney and Duvernay in Canada, and the Vaca Muerta in Argentina.   Shell outlined its planned spending for 2016 at $2.0 Billion, with an increase of $500 million in 2017 to $2.5 Billion. 

The company disclosed its plans to spend $2.0 billion in 2016 and an estimated $2.5 billion in 2017.  The company continues to see well cost reduction in the Delaware and Appalachia basins where the company is developing the Wolfcamp and Marcellus Shale respectively.
