Plains All American Pipeline is advancing its Permian Cactus II Pipeline project, prepping the line to enter service.
Initially announced back in January 2018, the pipeline is set to enter commercial service next week (mid-August). Its Corpus Christi connectivity completion is slated for 1Q 2020.
The pipeline will have up to 385,000 BPD capacity (a total of 585,000 BPD including 200,000 BPD from the original Cactus I pipeline).
In its call, the company said: "I'm pleased to report that the pipeline is mechanically complete from Wink to Ingleside and that we're currently performing commissioning in linefill activities. As of today, the line is approximately 50% filled with crude and we anticipate entering initial commercial service sometime next week. We expect to have direct Cactus II connectivity to Corpus in service by the end of the first quarter 2020."
