Company Drills Longest Permian Lateral Ever at Over 17,900' (~3.4 Miles)

Moss Creek Resources Holdings Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Surge Energy US Holdings Company, has reportedly drilled the longest known lateral in the Permian Basin.
According to the Texas Railroad Commission, the well is located in Borden County, TX, in the heart of the Midland Basin.
The Medusa Unit C 28-09 3AH was drilled 100% in zone of the Wolfcamp A with a total horizontal displacement of 17,935 feet (or 3.4 miles). This is the longest known lateral in the Permian Basin based on the IHS and Drillinginfo databases.
The well was drilled to a total-measured-depth of 24,592 feet (total vertical depth of 7,102 feet) and is expected to be completed and brought online later in the year.
