Contango Touts Best-Yet IP30 in Wyoming; Defers Future Drilling

Contango Oil & Gas Company reported its financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2016 and provided an operational update.

Key Points:

Muddy Sandstone - We will evaluate the results from these three wells for a number of months, as well as monitor commodity prices, before determining future drilling plans for this area. We currently have three wells producing in Weston County, Wyoming, targeting the Muddy Sandstone formation. The third well, the Christensen #1H, was drilled to a total measured depth of 13,600 feet, including a 7,000 foot lateral, with 40 frac stages. The well began producing in March 2016 with a 30 day average IP of 483 Boe/d (96% oil), which exceeded the 30 day average IP of each of the first two wells, due to enhanced completion techniques and longer…
