Crescent Point: Closable Sliding Sleeves Boosting Bakken Success

In its latest investor presentation, Crescent Point Energy has outlined its latest drilling enhancements and completion improvements at its Viewfield Bakken project.

The company is tapping into closable sliding sleeves technology, which could lower costs and increase oil recovery. This enables the company to control and divert water within the wellbore as well as limit sand flowback.

Currently, Crescent Point's completions feature cemented liners paired with a 25-stage frac. This has increased its oil recovery by 150 Mbbls as well as ramped up estimated recoverable reserves.
