Crescent Point Refines Completions in Saskatchewan Bakken

Crescent Point Energy's June investor presentation detailed their recent waterflood operations in the Canadian Bakken.  At Viewfield and Shaunavon, the company has been able to mitigate well declines by up to 10 percent in their waterflood injection areas.  The company operates one of the largest waterflood operations in western Candada. The company has also been refining a new completion method in its Canadian Bakken properties which seems to double production along the type-curve.

Crescent Point has more than doubled its type curve in the Viewfield Bakken area where its 25 stage cemented liner completion, which combined with waterflood operations has almost tripled NPV and EUR from the company's initial technique in 2007.  Water consumption is also lowered by 45% per well…
