DJ Basin Operator Plans 100 Well Completion Program for 2017

Whiting provided an update on its Q1 2017 drilling & completion program in the DJ Basin. Whiting controls some 157,178 gross (132,432 net) acres at its Redtail Niobrara/Codell play in the DJ Basin where it is currently developing the Niobrara . The Redtail Niobrara/Codell play in the DJ Basin averaged 7,635 BOE/d.
Redtail Completions on Schedule; Testing New Designs. At its DJ Basin Redtail Field in Weld County, Colorado, Whiting targets the Niobrara “A”, “B” and “C” zones and the Codell/Fort Hays formations. In 2017, the Company plans to complete its entire 105 drilled uncompleted (DUC) well inventory.
