Bauer-7 update
Drillsearch Energy Limited (ASX: DLS) is pleased to advise that the Bauer-7 development well intersected the main McKinlay-Namur pay zones encountering good oil shows over a gross interval of 18 metres based on mudlog interpretation. These results are consistent with pre-drill expectations and give positive indicators as to the eastern extent of the McKinlay and Namur pay zones of the Bauer Oil Field.
The well is currently drilling ahead to the secondary target zone in the Birkhead Formation to appraise the extent of the pay interval encountered in the Bauer-5 well which discovered a new oil reservoir in the Birkhead Formation. Once drilling reaches total depth, wireline logs will be run to confirm pay zones and as such Bauer-7 is likely to be cased and suspended for later…
