Enbridge Income Fund Holdings Inc. and Enbridge Income Fund announced the appointment of Bruce G. Waterman to the Board of Directors of the Corporation and to the Board of Trustees of Enbridge Commercial Trust (ECT) and the appointment of Brian Frank to the ECT Board of Trustees.
Mr. Waterman was also appointed to the Audit Committees of the Corporation and ECT.
Mr. Waterman has extensive expertise in finance, accounting, business development and government relations, including almost 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Until his retirement in January 2013, he held a number of senior executive positions with Agrium Inc., including as Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and in Business Development & Strategy. Prior to joining Agrium, he was the Vice-President and CFO of Talisman Energy Inc. and prior to that, he spent 15 years at Amoco Corporation. Mr. Waterman holds a B.Comm. (Honours) from Queen's University and an ICD.D. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants and was named Canada's CFO of the Year in 2008.
Mr. Frank is the President & CEO of TimberWest Forrest Corp. and has extensive senior executive experience in the natural resources industry. Prior to joining TimberWest, he spent 17 years with the BP plc group of companies and predecessors, where he held several senior executive positions in Canada and internationally. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Executive, Global Oil Europe & Finance with BP Oil International in London, U.K. Prior to that, he was President, BP Energy Company in Houston, Texas and President & CEO, BP Canada Energy Company in Calgary. Mr. Frank also spent ten years early in his career at Natural Resources Canada in Ottawa. He holds a B.A. (Economics & Law) and a M.A. (Public Administration) from Carleton University.
Gordon Tallman, the Chair of the Corporation's Board and the Chair of the ECT Board, commented: "I am very pleased with the appointments, which will add significant expertise, depth and strength to the Corporation and the Fund. Although Mr. Frank cannot be appointed to the Corporation's Board at this time due to limitations in the Corporation's Articles, he will stand for election at this year's annual meeting."
