What to Expect from The Tuscaloosa Marine Shale In 2014

Five companies have released their plans for the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale for 2014. Goodrich Petroleum, Encana, Comstock Resources, Halcon Resources and Sanchez Energy are all seeing the high upside value for this emerging play.

The total CapEx budget among these four companies will amount to 542 MM this year, with a total of 9 rigs running to drill 35 wells throughout the year.

Sanchez Energy Corp.

Sanchez Energy is spending 65 MM in the TMS, and currently owns 40,000 acres there. Planning 4 gross wells using 1.3 rigs, the company is still in the exploration phase of development in this play, but has been encouraged by high well IP rates on nearby acreage.
