Meritage Midstream Services II, LLC has reported the addition of C. Cole Stanley to its senior leadership team.

An energy industry veteran with 18 years of experience, Stanley joins the company as vice president and will lead its crude oil services division.

Meritage Chairman and CEO Steve Huckaby commented: "Cole’s leadership skills, reputation and industry experience make him a valuable addition to Meritage’s executive team. As we continue to strengthen our platform in the crude oil services space, his expertise will put Meritage in a strong position to take advantage of new and exciting opportunities."

Stanley’s responsibilities will include leading efforts related to the company’s crude oil services initiatives including asset management, marketing and trading, and business development. In addition to these broad responsibilities, Stanley will play a key role in efforts associated with Meritage’s recently announced joint venture with Arch Coal, Black Thunder Terminal, LLC, a rail terminal to provide crude oil handling, storage, rail loading and marketing services to producers in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin and downstream refiners. Meritage plans to install a crude oil gathering system in the basin that will provide producers with access to multiple downstream markets, including a connection to the Black Thunder Terminal.

The news also follows last month’s announcement that Meritage has acquired Thunder Creek Gas Services, LLC, which owns and operates natural gas gathering and processing assets in the Powder River Basin.

Cole Stanley, Vice President, Crude Oil Services

Cole Stanley comes to Meritage after eight years with Enserco Energy, where he served in various roles including managing director of producer services; vice president for producer services in crude oil, natural gas and wholesale trading; and most recently, vice president for producer services in North America. During his tenure at Enserco, Stanley was an integral member of the team that led the company’s initial efforts in developing crude oil assets in the Rockies region. His experience includes work in multiple basins and in a wide range of energy business sectors including crude oil, frac sand and frac sand transport, natural gas and natural gas trading, transportation and storage.

Prior to joining Enserco, Stanley was a senior trader at Western Gas Resources, focusing first on the Mid-Continent region and later the Texas and West Rockies regions. Stanley began his career at Koch Industries, Inc. as a marketing representative in industrial markets on Koch Gateway Pipeline and later marketing capacity and storage on the Koch Gateway Pipeline. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M University.
