Newfield Finds New Oil Play; Big Wells

In its third quarter update, Newfield identified a "new" oil resource play called STACK.  According to Newfield, STACK combines the meramec and the woodford shales.  It is 275' to 475 ' thick.  Newfield has more than 225,000 net acres in the Anadarko Basin.

Initial economics shows EUR range 800-1000 MBOE/well, with 70% liquids content and a greater than 35% Rate of Return assuming $90 oil and $3.50 gas.  The initial EUR was derived from a seven well program (see below) using 9000 foot laterals.
