Operator Pushing the Limits with 15,000' Laterals in the MidContinent

At its Feb. 24, 2016 presentation at the 21st Annual Credit Suisse Energy Summit, Cimarex talked about its plan to complete wells with 15,000 foot laterals.  The company's Chairman & CEO, Tom Jordan, outlined that they are currently testing new technology in the form of dissolvable frac plugs.

Jordan noted that this new technology and ability to drill and complete longer laterals has "recalibrated [the company's] optimism about the MidContinent Woodford and Meramec plays."
