Ousted Northern Oil CEO Slaps Former Company with Lawsuit

Former Northern Oil and Gas CEO Michael Reger has filed a lawsuit against his former employer alleging that the company did not honor the severance agreement stipulated in his contract, according to multiple reports.

Reger was fired earlier this week after it came to light that the SEC had served him with a Wells Notice (a letter that says that the SEC plans to take "enforcement action" against a person or company).

The notice that Reger recieved had to do with an investigation of the trading patterns of Dakota Plains Holdings Inc. back in 2012. Reger previously made investments in Dakota Plains through his company, Reger Gas Investments.
