Oxy's Big New Mexico Focus Pays Off with 7 Wells Average IP-30 of 3,750 BOEPD

  Occidental Petroleum released its Q3 results. Highlights include:

Total production of 600 mboe/d in Q3, which was the low end of the guidance due to Hurricane Harvey Permian production was 139 mboe/d, despite losing 1,000 boe/d from the impacts of Harvey Spent $950 mm in Q3 and plan to spend $1.1 billion in Q4, which will put Oxy at its capital guidance of $3.6 billion by the end of 2018 Greater Sand Dunes:

Oxy put a total of 7 wells in Greater Sand Dunes online with IP-30 with an average of IP-30 of 3,750 boe/d. In Q4, Oxy expects to put an additional 20 wells online in New Mexico.

Additionally, the Cedar Canyon 23 24 Fed 32H well in the Greater Sand Dunes IP-24 was 6,497 boe/d and a peak IP-30 rate of 3,728 boe/d (69% oil). This, along with other Cedar Canyon wells, provided Oxy…
