Private Haynesville E&P Talks $320mm Budget; Plan To Drill 44 Wells In 2017

Vine Resources, a porfolio company of blackstone yesterday debut it plans "go public", in a S1 filing with the SEC.

Vine entered the Haynesville play in 2014 following its acquistion of assets from Shell for $1.2 billion.  As of 12/31/2016, the company has 97,000 net acres in the play.

Hidden in the filing was Vine's 2017 drilling and completion plans. 

"Our 2017 CapEx forecast is approximately $320 million, which is almost entirely allocated to the development of 44 gross (20 net) operated wells and the development of 30 gross (13 net) non-operated wells utilizing 8 to 9 gross rigs.

Additionally, our 2017 CapEx forecast includes six gross refracs on older producing wells to capitalize on our knowledge of our 2015 refrac program and our current completion design to significantly improve…
