Quicksilver Reduces CapEx, Defer Barnett Completions; Testing Niobrara

Quicksilver Resources Inc., announced preliminary 2012 second-quarter results.

Highlights:

Completed first multi-well pad in Horn River, with individual wells testing in excess of 20 MMcfd Advanced negotiations on two joint ventures Improved well performance and drill/complete costs in the Colorado Niobrara project Reduced second-half 2012 capital expenditures by $50 million and deferred commitments in the Horn River Basin Nearly 50 percent of expected 2013 production hedged at a weighted average price of $5.30/Mcf
