Rig Count: 8 Horizontal Rigs Down

According to Baker Hughes' March 4, 2016 rig count report, U.S. rig counts have dropped by -13 overall, while Canada reported a large decrease, losing -46. In January 2016, the International market lost -50.
Overall, -8 horizontal and 0 vertical rigs were taken down this week. The Permian lost -6 rigs this week.
For the U.S., the total year-over-year (YOY) rig count drop is now at -703. The current active rig count in the U.S. is 489.
Canada's rig count declined by -46. The country's rig count has fallen by -171 rigs YOY with 129 rigs currently active.
