Rig Count: Permian Adds 6 HZ Rigs
This week, U.S. rig counts posted a gain of +4, while Canada posted a loss of -2. In April 2016, the International market lost -39.
This week, horizontal rigs posted a gain of +5, ending at 319 while vertical rig counts lost -1, ending at 45. The Permian was responsible for the gain in rigs, adding +5 this week.
For the U.S., the total year-over-year (YOY) rig count drop is now at -460. The current active rig count in the U.S. is 408.
Canada's rig count decreased by -2. The country's rig count has fallen by -75 rigs YOY with 41 rigs currently active.
On the International front, rig counts dropped by -39 in April of this 2016, with 946 rigs currently active (a loss of -256 YOY).
