Rig Count: Permian, MissLime See Rig Gains

U.S. rig counts declined by -5 overall, while Canada reported a small decrease, losing -1. In April 2016, the International market lost -39.
Overall, -6 horizontal were taken down this week while vertical rigs increased by +3. Two plays saw rig gains including the Permian (+5) and the Mississippi Lime (+2).
For the U.S., the total year-over-year (YOY) rig count drop is now at -479. The current active rig count in the U.S. is 415.
Canada's rig count declined by -1. The country's rig count has fallen by -39 rigs YOY with 36 rigs currently active.
On the International front, rig counts dropped by -39 in April of this 2016, with 946 rigs currently active (a loss of -256 YOY).
