Rig Count Sees 14 Horizontal Rigs Laid Down in the US

According to Baker Hughes' October 30, 2015 rig count report, rigs counts have dropped by -12 overall across the domestic market, while Canada gained 1 rig and the International market 3.

14 horizontal rigs were laid down, and 3 vertical rigs were added to the overall rig count this week. The Eagle Ford lost 2 rigs overall, while the Utica, Haynesville and Bakken each saw the loss of 1 rig. The Granite Wash saw 1 rig added.  The Permian Basin remained flat this week, after losing 16 rigs in October.

The total year-over-year (YOY) rig count drop is now at 1,154.

The current active rig count in the U.S. is 775.
