Southwestern Energy continues to feel the heat in regard to its debt load, especially with the company's near-term debt maturities.

2016 Timeline:

June 9, 2016 - Southwestern sold a portion of its Appalachia assets to Antero for $450 million

June 28, 2016 - Southwestern announced that it had refinanced its debt with its lenders. The company had to put up its Fayetteville assets as collateral for the refinancing (more details below).

June 29, 2016 - Southwestern tapped the equity markets for $1.1 billion to repay its debt.
