Southwestern Talks New Ventures; Eyes Smackover, Niobrara

Southwestern Energy Co. reported that during the first quarter of 2013, the company invested a total of approximately $475 million in its E&P business, including $2 million in its Ark-La-Tex division and $41 million in New Ventures.

Additionally, the company reported an update on its Ark-La-Tex operations as well as detailed its plans for new ventures.

Total net production from the company's East Texas and conventional Arkoma Basin assets was 5.4 Bcfe in the first quarter of 2013, compared to 8.2 Bcfe in the first quarter of 2012.
