Surge Energy Grows Production, Sees Active First Quarter

Surge Energy Inc. has announces record financial and operating results for the three month period ended March 31, 2014.
Surges financial and operating results for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 include only a partial quarter of results from the $109 million Southeast Saskatchewan light oil producing asset acquisition completed during the first quarter of 2014.
Highlights Achieved a record first quarter average production rate of 15,024 boe per day, an increase of 56 percent from 9,636 boe per day in the same period of 2013. This excellent growth in production was achieved despite extremely harsh cold winter conditions in Alberta and Saskatchewan for January and February, which caused downtime to Surge of more than 650 boepd of net production for the quarter.
